Hey, I think there's a car I'd like to own.
Medium-sized image behind ( cut ) Yeah, I'll take one. It appeals to my classy side. /brushes fingernails on lapel/ But it's also quirky enough to not be a normal utilicar.
Unfortunately, I betcha I'd need to be anal about keeping it serviced; something I wasn't so good at with previous vehicles. Poor Volvo. Poor Chevy. You both deserved better.
... still kinda holding out for a squareback too ;) |

| Better! |
[Jun. 30th, 2005|02:53 pm] |
I called the Oregon Department of Revenue today and explained more about the Car saga, and the very nice woman gave me more time to get forms and stuff. She also suggested I contact the Multnomah County Circuit Court and file a motion for an afadavit to review the evidence. So ... not entirely off the hook but certainly a lot less pressure!
Also got my day swaps figured out at work so I can make that trip to San Diego, yay! Just gotta pull out the viola, dust it off and go about remembering how to play.
Aaaaand finally got through to the dentist's office and made a payment, so I'm getting closer to paying off that particular category of debt. All in all it's been a progressive day, lots better than yesterday :) |

You know, at this point I'm ready to just forget about the whole thing and let them take the money. I can't afford it, but I suppose it would be punishment for me leaving untied loose ends.
Although it really sucks that some dumbshit is driving around my ex-car and I have to pay a parking ticket because someone sold my ex-car. That's not what I told Cooper's to do, that's not what I told Portland Auto Wrecking to do. I was taken advantage of, plain and simple. |

Then I call Portland Auto Wrecking again and ask for Jennifer who had previously told me that her manager Frank was going to mail off a form that I can send to the Circuit Court to get those tickets reversed (since I didn't own the car at that time). From our previous discussions I thought it was all sorted out and I was just waiting for a call back from Frank about this, telling me he'd sent off the form, etc, but when I mentioned to Jennifer the degree of urgency (wages will be garnished in 8 days, I said), she handed the phone to Frank who ... gathered all my information again and said he'd have to go through the records. ... as if nothing has been done over the last month.
I felt like screaming, "JENNIFER ALREADY DID ALL THAT, JUST SEND ME THE FORM, BUSTER!" but then he said he'd call me back later today. I plan to give him the Circuit Court's fax number so he can send it right to them. I just want to the rid of this situation. Sorry if I keep posting about it in my LJ and it's getting boring, but I want to keep a record of what has transpired so far. (and, yeah, I admit it: vent.) |

This is turning into an interesting bit of a fetch quest. |
